Both young people and adults often dream of a better future and have the aptitude, but not the financial means to further their education. In 1999, the New Hope Ministries Scholarship Fund was created to help disadvantaged local youth and qualified adults break out of the cycle of poverty.

The New Hope Scholarship offers financial aid, inspiration and a means of acquiring financial self-sufficiency. Each spring since 2001, New Hope has granted scholarship awards, through this endowment fund, to worthy recipients in our local communities.

Eligibility Requirements:

• State-recognized high school diploma or GED
• Demonstration of a sincere and serious desire to further one’s education beyond high school
• Demonstrated financial need
• Acceptance at a college, trade school or other institution approved by the committee
• Positive academic and character references
• Provision of a plan to secure other educational funds needed beyond the scholarship funds requested
• Residence within one of New Hope’s service area
