New Hope reaches out to “at risk” children and youth in our communities with the goal of providing structured, constructive programs and positive adult role models. Many of the youth we serve do not have a stable home and struggle with poor academic performance often because of behavioral or truancy issues. As a result, they have few aspirations for success.
Through recreational programs and mentoring, we help these youth develop character, learn to make thoughtful decisions, make healthy lifestyle choices, improve social skills and attain a positive self-image. Ultimately, our goal is to break the cycle of poverty.
Our youth activities include the following:
- Weekend retreats
- Field trips
- Community service projects
