New Oxford Center Manager

New Hope Ministries, a respected Christian social service agency, is seeking a caring and professional individual to manage our New Oxford Center. This is a full-time, salaried position. Duties include screening low income individuals and families for food, housing, and utility assistance, management of a food pantry, casework and educational instruction to promote self-sufficiency, management of dedicated volunteers, and community outreach and fundraising duties. Candidates must be proficient in written and spoken Spanish and English.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, social work and interpersonal skills, reside in and have existing connections in the New Oxford, Abbottstown, and East Berlin area, will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, and have a desire to share the love of Christ by helping our neighbors in times of need.

Food Pantry Manager

New Hope Ministries, a respected Christian social service agency, is seeking a full-time manager for our food assistance program in Dillsburg. Position will oversee the efforts of dedicated volunteers and function as part of a strong team delivering food assistance to low income populations. New Hope seeks to hire Christian individuals who want to be involved in ministry to their community. This position will be responsible for managing a state of the art food pantry, oversee warehouse operations, manage several mobile food pantries each month, and provide technical support for various aspects of our food assistance program. The position will be responsible for coordinating ordering and pickup of food and soliciting and picking up food donations. This employee must be able to drive (or willing to learn) a small to medium, non-CDL box truck and operate a forklift (we will provide instruction). Individual must become certified in food safety, enjoy cooking, and be able to oversee nutrition education programming. This position will involve driving, lifting, and equipment operation, so the candidate should be physically fit. Other needed skills include: leadership and management skills, computer and administrative skills. Foreign language proficiency in Spanish and English would be a real benefit. Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license required.
