We Give Thanks

Can you imagine – or maybe you already know – the faith and courage it takes to be thankful during a tough time? I see it at New Hope Ministries.

It’s the mother shopping in our food pantry, holding back tears as her child walks with her, who shares a soft-spoken and heartfelt “thank you” before she bags her groceries with a volunteer. It’s the unemployed, yet hopeful, high school drop-out who shares an ear-to-ear grin and a high-five when he earns his GED.

Here’s how one of our guests shared her thanks with us: “New Hope has been a blessing for me. I cannot even express my gratitude and thanks for some very dark days. The people who work and volunteer at New Hope are angels from God. God bless you all for everything you do – thank you!”

The ninth chapter of Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians teaches and encourages us in generosity and thankfulness: “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

As we enter a season of increased need at New Hope Ministries, as well as one of thanksgiving, will you make a gift today to help the people we serve? Click here to make a secure online donation today. Your generous support will feed the hungry, provide sustainable opportunities for the unemployed and untrained, and above all, bring hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ to a community in need.

Please accept our heartfelt thanks, and the thanks of those we serve, for your support!
