Building a New Home for New Hope

New Hope Ministries has been serving the Dillsburg community since 1983, offering food to the hungry, help with emergency and basic needs, after school programs, and programs that give people living in poverty a second chance through budget training, employment help, GED classes, and other job training programs.  Our simple mission is to love our neighbors as ourselves.  In the past year, we provided services to 1,600 people from 642 Dillsburg area families.

We are pleased to share the preliminary launch of a new food pantry and outreach center project for Dillsburg.  We are hoping to acquire the old feed mill property on Second Street, right next to our current center.  This will replace the decades-old current facility that has significant space limitations and condition problems.  The new facility will also provide space to house New Hope’s home office.

We are pleased to share with you that New Hope has been awarded a $500,000 matching grant for the design and construction of a new facility. To date, we have met the matching challenge goal – thanks to the support from the community! In all, we have approximately $1.19 million committed toward the total $1.3 million goal. Would you consider making a gift or pledge to help us reach the $1.3 million goal?* Click here to download a Letter of Commitment Form, or click here to make a secure online gift now.  If you are interested in learning more about this project and how you can be involved, please contact Molly Helmstetter at 432-2087 x203.  We also ask that you keep New Hope in prayer as we move forward with this project.

The support of the community is vital to New Hope. We are grateful to be serving in a region where neighbors truly do help those in need. Thank you for your consideration!
